Bait and Switch

We were told by the salesman that we would receive our belongings in 3 to 5 days. It was actually 24 days before we received them. Also, a “quality control” person called and went again through our inventory one week before moving and claimed we had double the cubic volume and the price would be double their original quote. All this after we paid half down and had no other options. I challenged that and we wound up with about $1,000 extra costs. Many things arrived scratched or broken. The lead person was fine but the extra workers took little care and scratched and scraped walls. Although their price was cheaper it was not worth it.

Frustrating experience

I have multiple complaints to report. The first is that we were told we could arrange the pickup in a specific time frame, which was critical for me as I was coordinating many moving pieces. We agreed upon a Friday morning, but the actual carrier (to the best of my understanding Relocation Nation is just a broker) called the day before to say they were coming in the afternoon. When asked for clarification, our contact at Relocation Nation did not answer the calls. The carrier (R&M Transportation - 3730 N 55th Ave Hollywood, FL 3302) invited us to “read the contract,” where they wrote they could come at their convenience within a 48h window. After this initial miscommunication, we asked for better coordination about the delivery date, as we were having a baby. The Relocation Nation sales director, Bradley, reached out and said he would put the furniture in storage and reschedule the delivery. He never mentioned anything about additional redelivery or storage fees. Instead, he said he was applying for a credit on our behalf as we ended up paying more than what estimated in the initial quote. We were surprised and frustrated when we found out that his “help” actually cost us extra money. Not to mention that we never heard back about the credit he referenced in his message. He made decisions involving extra fees on our behalf without asking permission or even disclosing it. Any attempt made to communicate with Bradley or customer service to waive this unexpected extra cost was unproductive and extremely frustrating.

Great Job Relo Nation!

My wife and I are so thrilled about the move Relocation Nation just did for us. My agent Brandon from start to finish was very on point with everything. I’ve learned with moving a long time ago when hiring a company moving is something you don’t want to pay the cheapest price for. Relo Nation was a bit expensive but we definitely got what we paid for. The move was flawless and we received our items exactly when they told us we would receive them. I will be using them again for our future moves and will be referring friends and family to use them. I’ve had some bad moving experiences in the past but we are thrilled we picked relocation nation for this move. Again… thanks to everything at the company including the customer service team who was in constant communication with us the entire time. I’ll attach a picture as well! Thanks guys!

READ YOUR CONTRACT!! SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICES & MISREPRESENTATION!

I WAS LIED TO FROM THE FIRST PHONE CALL! They are a broker, NOT a mover and hand off your reservation to the lowest bidder who had the worst. They SEVERELY UNDERESTIMATED my quote and 60% of my items did not get loaded on the truck. Relocation Nation did not know where our furniture was for 11 days. They told me delivery would take 5-7 days, I took 21. 3 items completely lost and 3 items damaged!

STAY AWAY! SCAMMERS!

Stay away! I don't even know where to start with how appalling this Company is. For starters, they're NOT a moving Company, they're a brokerage that contracts out your move to any random company they can find and then they take your money and wash their hands of you. These guys contracted out my move to Luxury Van Lines WITHOUT my knowledge or consent and they were the WORST movers I've ever had!

- Incredibly poor organization and communication. My moving truck did not arrive on the pre-scheduled day or time at either origin or destination and required several follow ups to find where my items were

- The pickup team in DC were derogatory and racist and after being asked to move the truck by a black man who couldn't get past, they said to me 'all black people are the same... f**king n**gers'.

- They ambushed me with extra charges after most of my items were already loaded on the truck. My move ended up costing 30% more than the original estimate despite me being very clear with descriptions and dimensions of all my items

- The pickup team refused to touch my items and start loading until I'd signed all their forms which would've been fine if they were COMPLETE. They made me sign BLANK forms before they'd do the job which is an illegal practice

- Every single box arrives totally smashed and ripped. Even my plastic storage bins were smashed to pieces

- One of my boxes is still missing and it hold family heirlooms in it and I suspect they stole it and claimed it's lost

I am pursuing legal action against Luxury Van Lines because of the loss of valuable items. Do NOT use these brokers because they'll give your move to any random and your stuff will get destroyed or stolen!

Liars and Scammers Galore

Brandon, their salesperson, will SCAM you. Here are the lies he and their small team told me. They will say anything to sell you. Then SCAM you. He should be fired. I know the promises he made, and their customer "care" department will just bully and scream at you. They claim they don't have recordings of the calls, I don't know about that. They don't care once they get your money and your signature, they continue this scam with everyone. See the other negative reviews on various sites.

SOME OF THEIR LIES:

1. I asked him to redo my inventory, and the contract still came in with cubic footage way below the quotes of other companies. I asked him to please fix the contract. He said, no worries, it is fine. As long as I don't have more than 40 boxes, all the items will fit. I don't need to worry. Just sign. - LIE, this is where they scam you. You get a call from Jessica the day before the move to inventory your items, and she says that cubic footage does not match. Well, of course it doesn't, I have the number from the other companies, and the number that I told Brandon to update on the second contract, but he insisted not to and it's fine. NOPE, they will persist that is what you signed for, so either pay up or leave the items behind. I'm talking $2,000 above what you signed for. This is a scam. By the way, Brandon will not answer your calls and texts anymore once you sign. Even though, he claimed that he will be your point of contact during the move, you don't need to worry, but actually you do. He is a broker, and a LIAR. He just says what he needs to sell you.

1. Your items will be picked up Monday at 8am. You will get a call on Sunday to confirm your items. - even when I asked if this was for sure or if there was a window, he said he had a truck coming for sure at 8am. Nope, I got the call on Monday and the truck came at 5pm on Tuesday.

3. Your items will arrive by Friday (within one week). They will be picked up and put last in a truck of items, and go straight to the destination. - Nope, I even asked, what if there was a delay (all to common with moving, what would be the latest delivery. He said Saturday. Nope, my items were picked up in an empty truck and taken to a storage warehouse four hours out of the way, and would be available to be delivered two weeks later than planned.

4. We will use plexiglass and separate all your items from others so they don't get mixed up. We will also number and tape up all your boxes and pack furniture nicely and assemble it for you upon arrival. - Every bit of this is lies. They did none of this. In fact, they LOST hundreds of dollars worth of items, and a number of my other items are damaged. The movers were so bad. They did not pay attention to anything fragile, they stacked boxes of books on fragile items and caused boxes to split down the side. They scratched up my walls and brought in a lot of dirt. My bed has moisture damage, assuming from their warehouse. The furniture they assembled has had the screws stripped, pieces cracked and broken. These people don't know how to handle the items. They really don't care. I don't know how I will disassemble and reassemble furniture now that they stripped so much of it. It has been more than a month since the move, and I'm still waiting on the insurance to respond even to the numerous photos of damage I sent them.

5. Their reviews are legitimate. - Look again, scroll back far enough and you see sometimes the same reviews posted again and again, sometimes with the same accounts or other accounts.

THIS IS A SCAM. STAY AWAY. Do not work with them or Easy Movers USA.

Oh by the way. They accidentally gave me someone else's box and someone else's TV. I noticed the TV and told the mover. He said "Keep it." He did not know who to give it to. The box? I held these items for more than a week because one mover said someone would come to get it. I asked the Easy Movers corporate team after more than a week, she said throw it away. No one had claimed it so far. I thought this was preposterous!

For your own peace of mind, DONT USE THIS COMPANY

I wish I had read some of the reviews here before I paid them anything. THEY ARE JUST A THIN LINE AWAY FROM BEING SCAMMERS

Somebody should really do something about them.

Never experienced such bad customer service,we've had problems every step of the way, from pick up to delivery.

They forgot part of the bedframe and aren't taking responsibility.

OLIVIA was really rude and hung up on me after I asked if they will pick up what they forgot, and then Threatened me when i called back that they won't drop off our belongings

Fake Promises

I was shopping for moving services and I spoke with the salesperson Theodore on Jan 30th who offered me ~$2300 after the same day booking discount. He said I can cancel this booking(I paid 50% advance) anytime since my tentative move is on May and he will also do a price match if I find someone else who quotes cheaper than this. I trusted him and put my credit card on file and I signed the documents which had a 48 hour refund policy which I didn't notice.

I tried to cancel this move on April and I was told that Sales agent left the company and they cannot refund the money I paid. Whatever promises they made over phone is not honored. This is such a malpractice to give Customers wrong promises over phone and take the money.

Amazing!

These movers were so professional and moved quickly. They assisted in making the moving process so smooth. I was anticipating stress and literally felt none. Great movers!

Great movers! They arrived 10 mins early and moved us very quickly. Other companies quoted us for 6-8 hours, and it took Relocation Nation Moving 5 hours. They disassemble and reassemble all furniture, and it's not an extra charge. They also disconnected and reconnected all of our appliances at no additional charge. I would highly recommend them! We are going to use them again.

Scam

You won’t get your deposit back; no call no show; my coordinator Brandon literally just hang up on me when asking for deposit of 1400 back. Again it’s a no call no show at scheduled 48 hours pick up window. They avoid your calls and Bill the quality guy is just straight forward rude. Calculating and deceiving. Oh by the way they will say the initial quote is final and no hidden fees but no they will charge you “later” through the process or you loose your deposit. Professional and borderline scamming basically walking in a fine line to be legal. Be careful. At my two weeks of begging for my deposit back they finally agreed to mail a check but I have to agree on all these terms that not speaking in public causing negative repercussions. I disagreed to the terms; why as a customer I cannt speak up and paid over 1400 for absolutely no service of any kind? During that 48 hours of pick up time we called many times but they either hang up or say oh we will call you back as soon as possible……. Go with a real reputable company even they charge more but they truly don’t have hidden fees. Moving is already stressful and costly but this one will make your experience hellish.

Careless, wasteful and dishonest company

Wasted considerable time with a company that proved to be careless from beginning to end. Avoid this company if you prefer honesty, clarity and your instructions to be heeded. Half of my items have not been moved and the quote I received was not anywhere need the amount I was billed. At every turn I was met with employees remiss in their duties. I sent photos to avoid a misunderstanding in what I needed moved, and yet, was directed to mislabel/misidentify items. I sent photos of each item, along with a list, and yet, only half of my items were packed. When I learned they would be unable to take all of the items they had agreed to (and for double the price I was quoted!), I gave instructions about priority, and yet, those were ignored completely. I called the 1-800 customer service line while the movers were at my home; the call was unanswered and subsequently NEVER returned. I texted my original contact who promised action on Monday, and yet, I was told to call the 1-800 customer service line! The recklessness of the employees continued when they left the gate to my property obviously open! Feeling frustrated, I reached out to customer service again. I received no response to my request for assistance for several days. The lackluster response I eventually did receive left much to be desired. The response asked ME to provide additional information in order to assist, and yet, when I promptly sent that information to them, it was tossed aside, my time wasted and myself left feeling exasperated. Save yourself the trouble of being deceived and abused by Relocation Nation Moving and choose another company.

Horrible experience two angry and demanding men who demanded a tip before they did one stitch of work. I was quoted a price of $6,900 based on my inexperience ability to estimate the size of the load. Then the movers quoted me 1500 cubic feet and in actuality it was 1733 costing me $9, 500 and these guys are supposed to be the professionals. Then the trucking co. drivers demanded a 10% tip even swearing in a foreign language. When it came time for delivery, we were told the moving company had an option to demand more money. A dispatcher named Jay at R & M Trucking called me a cheap customer for not giving a large tip and I shouldn't expect good service. While holding my possessions hostage until I paid another $1,489 on top of the $6,880, we already paid. On delivery date 10 days later the foreign speaking driver demanded another $1,961 check by even saying, "I will drive off unless you pay". The loaders of R & M Trucking dropped our things, slammed our things and even running into and damaging every piece of furniture that was on that truck. We have photos to prove it as well. I know R & M or you will not have the guts to print this, but if anyone see this, never use this company. I will also be reporting this to the BBB and such.

Move on from this one - Not a Mover

If you come across Relocation Nation, you should move on, do not stop, just keep going.

From the moment you enter the website of Relocation Nation, the impression given the wording and overall content is they are a MOVER, which they are not, this is a broker, very deceiving. The word agent, referring to actual moving companies contracted is buried within the text. You be the judge: https://relocationnationmoving.com

Most of us do not move often and go into the process lacking knowledge of the industry and current costs. Internet advertising, paid positioning and a decent website can easily pull you in. If you do call, you’ll speak to a friendly customer service representative who will not disclose they are a broker. We did not learn this until after having issues with the actual mover - it started when they did not arrive on the scheduled day. My wife stated it was important to occur on Saturday as we both took time off from work and needed to be back on Monday. After assurances that delays are unlikely and it would take an extraordinary occurrence, the mover did not show up until Sunday afternoon. The contents did not arrive until Monday. Eventually, we realized we were told what we needed to hear to sign at the time with their fees be paid up front (via electronic check which is not reversible) and when problems arose based on misleading statements or lies, RR referred to or the reality was “hid” behind the language in the contract. Asking, “did you read the fine print of the document signed.” Statements made to the contrary notwithstanding.

When the mover arrived, the truck was already loaded with another’s possessions. It was clear that there was not enough room and later stated by the broker to be “our fault”. My wife was quoted an initial amount with a fee payable up front of $866.00. When she realized there were additional items, she called and gave a detailed list. Another “upfront” payment of $723.02 was made. So far we have paid $1,589.02 to someone who we thought was a mover. If one knowingly wanted to pay a broker for a few phones calls and exchange of information, at a minimum the process should be reasonably stress free. The reality was far different with items left on a driveway due to “lack of space” which after some heated discussion, a commitment made it would be picked up and delivered free of charge. Ultimately, we simply wanted this experience over, did not trust that the remaining items would be picked up promptly especially given they were sitting exposed to the elements in the interim. We rented a truck ourselves, took additional time off from work and picked up the remaining items the following day (nearly a four hour drive each way). When we called Relocation Nation, stated despite the bad experience would like to end it amicably and would have requested the cost of the truck only. The response was “no, you should reread or have read your contract before signing” effectively saying, what we said before you signed means nothing.

They are not BBB accredited. The link below shows RECENT complaints to the BBB, all terrible.

You did a fantastic job!!

Have used Relocation Nation Moving many times. I love how they always take care of me and my things. When I moved my things to storage, they helped and did it quickly. The second time they assisted me to move into my new apartment, just like the first time, fast and smooth except for me because I had to suffer from the anxiety of finding a new area for everything, like everyone in a new home. And now, they cleared out my most extensive storage, like always the best. The costs are excellent, and the guys are amazing.

Lying company

I got a call from Brandon from relocation nation moving asking about booking my move. We go over everything and he informs me that I can book with him today and can cancel with a full refund as long as it's 5 days before my scheduled move for june 5th. He assured me that it wouldn't be an issue and that he could lock me in at this great rate. They are a moving company and he guarantees everything. So I say ok ill go ahead a put a deposit on April 6th as this was a good price. Come April 20th we text him to follow up about the call to cancel as i wasnt moving anymore due to my company offering more to stay and he responded says "Yes I have sent(sp) a cancelation to the dispatch. My finance team will be reaching out shortly as well." We never get a call so we called him May 4th to follow up he says we need to contact customer service and then hangs up on my wife. I called in today being informed that I couldn't get a refund just a credit to a future move within 12 months I tell the sales manager what is going on he said he would talk with Brandon and get back to me. This could be 4700 dollars stolen from me because they have a shady sales representative who lied about the whole thing. I was never even informed they are brokers. I tried to attached a picture showing the response from Brandon saying would get this canceled as well but apparentlyits not a big enough size. I hope the sales manager comes through. I would seriously avoid this company if you plan to make a big move let alone any move at all.

Unhappy and dissatisfied

The original conversations are helpful and positive but as soon as they pick up your items (Poorly) with many problems and attitudes from the driver, Relocation Nation staff is Missing in Action. All of the phone numbers that you have been contacted by are all going to voice mail with no response back. Very poor customer service. My quote was doubled the original price even though I gave them exact items and measurements. The moving company states that it is only an estimate and not a price! WHO KNEW!!!!

So I have to believe they undercount square footage in order to get your business and then you are stuck with your items on the truck and the movers give you their great news, BAD news for us.(Double the quote) With the attitude if we didn't like it, He will put all of my items in the Storage Place Parking Lot at 11 pm at night. NICE.

I personally would never recommend this outfit because of the unprofessional and terrible service. Do your homework and don't rely on reviews alone (obviously not real). Check BBB. My next stop to put my complaint on this company.

Long-distance move from Florida to Michigan

NEVER Again!!

I recently moved from Florida to Michigan and hired Relocation Nation to handle the move for me. What a mistake that turned out to be! I received a quote for $4,158 from Michael after doing a video walk through of my apartment as well as explaining in detail what I had at an offsite storage unit. The workers called me on May 18 indicating they would be at the storage unit at 6pm. Thinking I could save some money, I filled the back of my truck up with big items such as generator, power washer, outside gas firepit, large shop vac, and other smaller misc. items I could fit. They loaded the rest into their truck and indicated they would call me later that evening to let me know what time they would be there in the morning. Not only did I NOT get a call, they didn't show up until after 2pm the next day. When the workers FINALLY showed up to start loading, they immediately indicated the salesman quoted me incorrectly and added $457 to my bill (keep in mind, I added NOTHING to the inventory to be moved...as a matter of fact, I REMOVED inventory from the list with the stuff I loaded into my truck). My salesman suddenly became unavailable, and I was forced to sign the new contract. Now, I will say, the workers DID do a great job of packing and loading everything for sure. I was told it would be 3-5 business day for my stuff to arrive. I called after 6 days and was told 7-10 days. My belongings finally arrived 14 days later. I have STILL not been able to reach my salesman, and the company refuses to do anything about the additional charges. I wound NOT recommend them to anyone for any kind of move, large or small!

The worst!

Relocation Nation is the worst moving company ever. First they promised me they did not subcontract to other movers. They do. A U-Haul truck pulled up two days after the promised pick up date. I had to beg and plead for the subcontracted unprofessional Movers to show up, as my home was sold and had closed on it the day before. Now here I sit in my new home, waiting for them to deliver all of my possessions, and they say it will take 21 days. I was promised 5 to 7 business days after my move-in date. This is a scam. The Better Business Bureau should shut this company down.
